I also couldn't find the key, just posted the news and assumed it would work. Apparently Microsoft took the download down. Did someone get it before they did?

I have the CTP2 Refresh on my Connect, but I'm not quite sure if that's of any use.
Never grabbed the 120day trial when it was on.

I have the entire iso downloaded at home.
But no key to install.
But maybe the CTP2 Refresh is the good one.

Sorry if this seems irrelevant, but you when Microsoft were developing Vista, if it had been released in 2004, what if Build 4094 was the embedded 'componetized' version, since Microsoft started stripping out everything before the development reset.

The key that is embedded in the CTP Refresh works for me. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it openly so those who want it (and don't have the CTP Refresh) drop me a line.

2. Microsoft expected it SP1 to RTM 18 months after General Availability of Windows 7.
3. However, in July, 2010 Microsoft changed their position on this point and communicated that there would be Downgrade rights to XP Pro in Windows 7 for the life of the OS.

7. OEMs cannot place XP Pro at manufacture of Windows 7 devices.
8. What the OEMs can do after October 22, 2010, if they elect to do so, is distribute XP Pro Downgrade software media to end users of Win7/Vista devices that have Downgrade rights post-purchase upon the end users request

1. The customer may use any media kit provided the software meets the downgrade rights criteria (edition, version).
2. They don’t have to go back to their System Builder and ask for the software to be installed and pre-activated.
